Review by hotel critic
Review of Little Lotta Cottage, CaledonAs an architect with a keen interest in quality accommodations, I was eager for my weekend at Little Lotta in Caledon. Unfortunately, my expectations were unmet. The positioning of this property leads to a false sense of luxury; However, its fundamental shortcomings in basic comforts are glaring. Upon arrival, it became apparent we were lacking essential amenities. There was no heating, which is particularly concerning in midwinter. The absence of sufficient cookware and kitchen utensils in a self-catering environment was noted, making meal preparation quite inconvenient. Despite the potential for an inviting outdoor experience, the garden area and BBQ facilities were not well-maintained, further diminishing the value proposition. While the bed was clean, the overall lack of attention to essential needs rendered the stay uncomfortable. Guests seeking a genuine hospitality experience should proceed with caution.
